November 3, 2025 Meeting Minutes

Meeting opened at 6:05pm.

Minutes from the 10/06/25 meeting were approved.

Treasurer’s Report:

Membership account balance as of November 3, 2025: $4,390.80

Membership update: 59 households (6 new)

Donor Plaque account balance as of September 8, 2025: $3,675.93

Archaeology Report – Balance of September 8, 2025: $4,252.06


Website Report: Sara posted the minutes from the September 8, 2025 meeting. Halloween pictures were posted on the VDR Facebook page. The decorating contest results made for happily excited residents!

Renewal of WIX is anticipated for April 2026.


Committee Updates:

The 2025 hayride is scheduled for December 20, 2025. Same cost ($1,200) as last year.


Reserved by Mitch and Sharon will follow up. As we have done in the past, we’ll have food donations/drive and Toys for Tots the same time. Donations will be deposited and then remitted to the Food Bank by check.

Business Updates:

  • Community yard sale happened on October 11 th and was deemed a success! Thirteen houses participated (sold items).

  • No Ward 2 news from Mitch. Food collections are encouraged!

  • We are still looking for an additional Board member.

  • Roll-offs to be rescheduled. Derek made the initial call but no information was received. Miki will follow up with Environmental Services. We’ll try for March 2026.

  • Val and Mitch will work together and see whether some assistance/sponsorship from Paul Cunningham or other city officials can be leveraged or if they can provide feedback/pointers for success in another application for Tohono O'odham Nation grant funds in the coming year.

  • Holiday decoration contest was discussed. Use a QR code to vote? Sara can research. Or walk a ballot over to a chosen house for deposit.

  • Wash cleanup date was discussed. Work with the City? Issue of pick-up of trash was discussed. Coordinate with the Brush and Bulky pickup (scheduled for December 29, 2025).

  • Sara pointed to the Climate Action Hub, part of the City.

  • Outreach to new residents discussed as a way to get dues as early as possible in the year and minimize the carryover of dues from late one year to another. Hoping this would minimize duplicate dues being submitted. Dues submission dates will also be noted on the VDR Dues sheet beginning in 2026.

  • We await the insurance bill to be paid by December 31, 2025 for next year’s coverage.


Next regular Board meeting is scheduled for Monday, December 1, 2025 at 6pm.
