December 1, 2025 Zoom Meeting
Meeting opened at 6:05pm.
Members Present: Everyone!

Minutes from the 11/03/25 meeting were approved with correction of spelling of Tohono O’odham.
Insurance ($1,216.00 due 12/23) and Hayride ($1,200, 12/20) checks to be written by Derek.

Treasurer’s Report:
Membership account balance as of December 1, 2025: $4,390.80
Membership update: 59 households (6 new)
Strategies to increase membership? How can we better reach the community?
Donor Plaque account balance as of September 8, 2025: $3,675.93
Archaeology Report – Balance of September 8, 2025: $4,252.06
Website Report (Jake/Sara):
Halloween pictures to be posted on the VDR Facebook page. Bots are
being identified and banned.
Renewal of WIX is anticipated for April 2026. Sara will renew by April 22, 2026 and will be reimbursed by check for $216.64.
Messages: Question regarding the voting process for the Halloween decorating contest.

Business Updates:
No Ward 2 news from Mitch.
Brush and Bulky pickup will take place 12/29-12/31/25. Residents are requested to put material out AFTER the hayride (12/20).
Roll-offs have been requested for 3/5-9/2026. Sara will post dates and locations on the website. Explanation of the delay is to be included in the next newsletter.
Regarding the HAYRIDE: 12/20/25, 6pm start, last ride at 7pm. Cost: $1,200 plus tips (two $50 checks for drivers). Set-up: 5-5:30pm. $5.00 for adult non-members. Route needs to be scouted out (Kirk?). Val will get Mitch a simple list of paid members.
Lighting contest: Ballots will be on the newsletter. Judging will take place on December 18th. Vote by 8pm December 18 th .
We’ll plan for the annual meeting (February 2026) at the next meeting.
Next regular Board meeting is scheduled for Monday, January 5, 2026 at 6pm.
Meeting was adjourned at 7:15pm.
