Meeting opened at 6:02pm

Business Updates

Independent Oversight & Accountability Committee

Derek attended the IOAC streets meeting on 1/27/25. There were 27 neighborhoods represented voicing concerns. Derek thanks the IOAC for repaving the neighborhood streets and for sidewalk repairs.

Police DAC Meeting

The next DAC meeting will be on 2-29-25 from 6-8pm. George had a complaint about excessive vehicle noise in the neighborhood. He was asked to attend the next DAC meeting and voice his complaint there as VDR board is unable to address.

Re-election results

Pat Wiedhopf, Sharon Spiker and Val Reynolds were re-elected to the VDR Board.

2025 Board officers were elected

Cheryl Hoffman resigned as Board Secretary but will remain as Board member

New Business

Free Archaeology tour of VDR Cultural Park will be held on March 1, 2025 from 9-11am.

Sarah, Mitch and Derek will clean-up the Park on 2/28/25 for Park visit.

Newsletter including Park tour will be distributed during the weekend of 2/21-2/23

Spring Activities

Meet the Board Event sometime during April

Movie in the Park-perhaps combined with Meet the Board event

Garage Sale-either during the Spring or Fall

Newsletter, signs and/or Facebook posting about these events

Children’s Park area behind Casa Rio development

Eva Lehr would like to see debris and tres cleaned up. She was asked to call #311 and voice her concerns

Brush and Bulky pick-up is scheduled for 6/30/25

Amendment to VDR by-laws and fee increase were tabled to a later date.

Derek, Pat, Miki and Val will attend a meeting with Wells Fargo Bank on 2/18/25 to transfer the key executive from Pat to Derek/Val. Email for Zelle account with the bank will be addressed also.

New Banner for website

Mitch made a motion to allow Sharon to spend $100 to purchase a new banner. Motion was seconded by Sarah. Motion passed unanimously.

Next regular Board Meeting is scheduled for Monday, March 17, 2025 @ 6pm via Zoom
